Modern sculptures for gardens, parks and company grounds unfold their effect above all through light – in sunlight as well as with targeted lighting. They change with the viewpoint, the background and the light: above a calm surface of water, against the sky, in front of a wall or freely in an open space, a sculpture can develop an almost spherical presence. I am happy to develop a concept with sketches for your site and to visit the space where the work is to stand – you will find my contact details at the bottom of the page. VESSEL describes a movement of receiving and preserving: many linear stainless steel rods form a bulbous, open shape – a vessel that takes in not matter but atmosphere.

A mesh of individual stainless steel rods: up close they seem chaotically connected, from a distance the outer skin is perceived as a clear, vortex-like form that seems to consist more of energy than of matter. Like a portal, the form opens into space – permeable and at the same time strongly present.

3Since 2017 the transparent work WASSERLÄUFER (Water Runner) has been positioned on the water-lily pond in Mannheim's Luisenpark. On the surface of the water the figure enters into a direct dialogue with its surroundings. Reflections, light and the gentle movement of the water become part of the work and make the boundaries between art and landscape permeable.
4RAUM-TANZ was created in 2005 at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel, for the outdoor area of the Clore Garden of Science.

For the Brand Group, the installation HUMMELFLUG (Flight of the Bumblebee) was created in 1996 in front of the main building at the company's headquarters in Anröchte. The industrial product is released from its functional context and becomes a lively, dynamic image: it flies out into the world, as it were. HUMMELFLUG links the company's identity with playful lightness, movement and new beginnings – and translates a technical product into a poetic metaphor visible from afar.

The ibex – a landmark and the heraldic animal of the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. Like fleeting brushstrokes dashed off in space, the 3 m high construction of laser-cut stainless steel plates appears. Since 2013 the ibex has been mounted on the roof of the Aschera-Park in Schiers, Switzerland.
